Internationally recognised and Australian based Guvera is a leading online music and entertainment streaming service. Guvera has experienced exponential growth over the past two years, achieving more than 14.8 million registered members which has resulted in extensive consumer reach for the brand-funded service.

Established in 2008, Guvera launched its streaming app in 2013 and in 2014 the service reached 1.2 million registered members predominantly from the Australian market; in just two years Guvera has experienced exponential growth with more than 16 million registered members worldwide.

Guvera Global Director of Brand Strategy, Max Hegerman, said the level of growth experienced has set new standards for the brand-funded service and has attracted partnerships with dozens of leading brands.

“Guvera’s enormous growth in such a short period of time has enabled us to open new doors for our brands, which have always been at the core of the Guvera model,” Mr Hegerman said.

“Guvera has been able to establish a point of difference from other streaming services whereby we position our brands in a revolutionary way within the app in the form of ‘brand channels’.

“Brands are able to create their own channels, which moves away from the traditional ‘spot and dot’ advertising used by other streaming services.

“Instead, Guvera provides brands the ability to offer registered members and music lovers the opportunity to listen to their favourite local or international artists on their very own brand channel while browsing the brand’s content offerings including articles or blogs, listening to branded playlists, entering competitions and browsing products.”

Mr Hegerman said this new and innovative brand model has been piloted in Australia to great success and is now being emulated in Guvera’s global market.

“The creation of brand channels means brands can reach an extensive audience base and create a greater level of interaction with our registered members,” he said.

“As a result Guvera has attracted dozens of leading brand partnerships, which increases our ability to offer free access to music while ensuring artists are rightly compensated for the work they produce.

“Our registered members also reap the rewards as they are not bombarded by advertising and can enjoy a non-disruptive and seamless entertainment experience while supporting the artists whose music they love.”

Guvera boasts a catalogue of more than 30 million songs licensed globally and has secured global music rights with international labels including Sony, Warner and Universal as well as significant local labels such as Hungama in India.
