World Pulse founder and CEO Jensine Larsen joins World Pulse network members Jampa from Tibet and Olanike from Nigeria, for an inspiring panel called Accelerating Global Change: Women and the Digital Revolution this Sunday at 4 p.m. ET at the Social Good Summit in New York. The panel, which is the first event of the 4th annual World Pulse LIVE (#WorldPulseLIVE), will be facilitated by Google’s Director of Agency Business Development, Amy Cowan.

Other speakers at the Summit include Mashable founder Pete Cashmore, Michael Dell, President Jimmy Carter, Melinda Gates, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, and others.

The Social Good Summit (#2030Now), which takes place at 92nd Street Y in New York City, is a two-day conference examining the impact of technology and new media on social good initiatives around the world. Held during UN Week from September 21-22, the Social Good Summit unites a dynamic community of global leaders and grassroots activists to discuss solutions for the greatest challenges of our time. During the Social Good Summit, global citizens around the world unite to unlock the potential of technology to make the world a better place.

Portland-based World Pulse is the only online platform for grassroots communities of women to mobilize around issues that matter to them and their communities—cross-borders, cross-languages, cross-religions, cross-cultural. In an effort to ensure that women globally are not further excluded from the benefits that come from being digitally connected in today’s world, the organization has already linked tens of thousands of women and allies from more than 190 countries. Using World Pulse as their platform, women everywhere are accessing information, networking, finding jobs, and even running for office.

Next week the 4th annual World Pulse LIVE series brings just some of these inspiring voices to the stage and to powerful decision-making forums to create better awareness for the organization’s digital movement and invite audiences to join the World Pulse network. The events, which launch in New York at the Social Good Summit, include live conversations with three of the World Pulse network change-agents, Jampa (Tibet), Olanike (Nigeria), and Ynanna (New York), and World Pulse founder Jensine Larsen. World Pulse LIVE events take place in New York, Portland, and San Francisco from September 21st to October 2nd on topics ranging from education, the environment, healthcare, and how digital inclusion and empowerment for women can advance solutions to causes important to them.

Meet Jampa: Born in a small village in the Tibetan plateau, Jampa is a poet and rising community leader. The only person from her village to attend a university, she has improved the lives of hundreds through small solar and literacy development projects. Jampa is committed to giving voice to the invisible women of Tibet and empowering young girls to pursue their dreams

Meet Olanike: Olanike hails from the beautiful and resource-abundant country of Nigeria. Yet, she has witnessed the environmental exploitation of her beloved homeland and mobilizes grassroots women to take charge as they have been most impacted. She believes that the only way to ensure the environmental security of Nigeria is to make sure that women have equal voice in these decisions.

World Pulse Live 2014 Schedule

The three women including Larsen will present and converse with audiences at events in New York City (September 21 to 24), Portland, Oregon (September 25 to 29), and San Francisco (September 30 to October 3).
