Mayhew wins NASCAR West race at Miller Motorsports Park

          TOOELE, Utah (Sept. 16, 2014) – David Mayhew grabbed the lead with seven laps remaining and then pulled away to win the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West EnergySolutions Utah Grand Prix race at Miller Motorsports Park.         Mayhew started fourth but passed pole sitter and race leader Greg Pursley in time to lead the 44th lap of the 50-lap chase around Miller’s 2.2-mile road course. Mayhew’s win was his fourth this season and the eighth of his career.        Every one of Mayhew’s Pro Series West wins have come on Goodyear tires. Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for both the Pro Series West and East, as well as for the Canadian Tire Series. The tires Goodyear supplies the three circuits are manufactured in Akron, Ohio.        Mayhew beat second finisher Dylan Lupton by 1.022 seconds, a comfortable victory margin in the hotly competitive world of the West Series. Mayhew averaged 58.338 mph over the race distance.       James Bickford finished third, Pursley took fourth and Brandon McReynolds came home fifth. Pursley’s lap in time trials, 117.250 mph, marked the 20th time in his career he has started on the pole position in a West race.      Two races remain on the 2014 schedule. Pursley leads the standings with 501 points. Lupton is next with 486.     Goodyear employs about 69,000 people at manufacturing plants and facilities in 22 nations.
