Authors: The Conversation

imageMorning meeting. Damian Thompson, Author provided

We have had good news this week in The Conversation US office. The Knight Foundation just announced that they are awarding us a grant to support the distribution of TCUS articles to local and regional newspapers across the United States (for more background have a look at my post on the Knight Foundation blog).

Which leads me to my second bit of good news: The Conversation United States team is growing.

We’re now looking to fill two newly created jobs in our Boston newsroom. These are exciting positions for dynamic, experienced media professionals looking to make a difference with high-quality journalism.

Funded by the Knight Foundation, the Project Manager - Newspaper Outreach will develop and implement a one-year pilot whose goal is to promote the distribution of TCUS content to local and regional newspapers in partnership with Community Newspaper Holdings Inc, one of the leading publishers of local news and information, serving more than 130 communities across the country.

And the new Science and Technology Editor will help expand and deepen TCUS’s daily coverage of the latest academic research and thinking about technology and applied science.

TCUS is part of a global Conversation network with editions in Africa, Australia and the UK. Independent and not for profit, The Conversation is committed to helping lift the quality of public debate by ensuring the voices of scientists, scholars and researchers are heard.

Our teams of professional editors work with scholars from universities across the US and the world to share their research and to apply their expertise to topical issues. All our content is published under a Creative Commons license: Time, Newsweek, Quartz, The Washington Post and Fortune are among our regular republishers.

Worldwide, The Conversation reaches an audience of more than 2.6 million unique readers a month and more than 23 million readers via Creative Commons republication.

The above two roles have been advertised on our jobs board or follow the links above for further details and to apply.
