The Daily Scream - Advertising matters

  • Written by Will Roberts

I'm Will Roberts, and this is the Daily Scream! Ahhh, here we go!

Well, this weekend I did a lot of traveling and had the chance to stare billboards and listen to the radio. Oh, if you’re 20 years old and under you might want to look up the word radio on Google, moving on. I travel so much that I have become a connoisseur of advertising. Able to spot what’s real and what's fake. So, I had the radio on and an ad from the car company Mazda came on and their new slogan is “Driving matters”.

Then a mile down the road I see a billboard that says; "Your skin matters." Today I am looking through the news, and I see a story about the Staten Island Yankees and a day or promotion they are calling "Blue lives matter." A take off from Black lives matter obviously. Now I am going to dispute what matters and what doesn’t. But I will ask the question of all you marketing people - Whats’s the matter with you folks! Using a slogan or in this case, a moment to sell your products.

I know the big thing these days is what the Corporate America machine can do for the average America and it’s a very hot way to market. But we see through that. Look at Honda and their campaign to help folks get things they need. Like the commercial about the woman who goes blind and all she wants is guitar lessons, so Honda gives her free lessons for a year. Oh and we can’t forget the disclaimer at the end of the commercial that says the person on the Radio was a volunteer paid to be on the radio. Paid... Volunteer, don’t let that definition near nonprofits .. they'll go broke.
Corporate America, stop trying to trick us.

Cause what really matters is that you have a good product, good customer service, and your product is made in the USA, cause THAT MATTERS!

Dr. Robert Owens’ Newest Book

While neither the first nor the last Hippie, Backstreet was in many ways the quintessential Hippie.  Today the Hippie experience has been glamorized and sanitized by the dreaming of the young and the gleaning of the old.

Backstreet's experiences covered the whole range of experimentation and rebellion that the Hippies came to symbolize.  From the "Summer of Love" in People's Park and Haight Ashbury, (he helped bury the Hippie in San Francisco) through Drop City, Colorado to the Armadillo in Austin, Texas Backstreet was there.

More than the Lost Generation of the post-World War I era or the Beat Generation of the 1950's the Hippie Generation represents the ultimate in missed opportunities, lost dreams, and eventually counterproductive goals.

Make America Great Again - AGAIN!

This book is filled with some of the positive accomplishments of President Trump’s first Administration.  Most of this has never been covered by the echo-chamber megaphone pretending to be an objective media.  Some of it has been covered as if through a carnival mirror, distorted and reshaped to fit the negative agenda of the Left.

Though the media elites, the perpetually re-elected, and the bureaucrats of the deep state are united in their determination to defeat Donald Trump they’ve forgotten one thing … most Americans still believe in America.  And though they’ve used the Plandemic to shut down our economy and their shock troops are burning down our cities they’ll not be able to terrorize us into staying home on election day.

And when the dust settles,

four more years may give us enough breathing space to:

Make America Great Again – Again!
