Perth, WA - The Perth property market continues to see strong growth. A combination of record low interest rates and higher demand are contributing to increases in the housing market.

Certain suburbs across Western Australia have seen significant growth. Topping this list are Abbey (23.4%), Alfred Cove (23.3%), Mosman Park (23.3%), Mount Barker (22.6%), and Golden Bay (21.4%). The data gathered from REIWA is for the year to the last quarter.

These areas have seen huge price increases but none are the most-searched.

According to data from realestate.com.au, Mount Hawthorn has topped the list of most searched suburbs from online searchers. Mount Hawthorn is located within the City of Vincent and continues to undergo major developments that make it increasingly popular. The city is close to other booming areas including Mount Lawley and Leederville.

Additional features for this suburb include close access to Mitchell Freeway and a convenient location only minutes from the CBD. The area is certainly appealing to families as it is an excellent area which attracts people to the community lifestyle.

Property prices in Mount Hawthorn are also surprisingly lower per square metre than neighbouring cities. Homes that are available for sale now range from $550,000 to $1.4 million. The suburb has a mix of property styles from Californian bungalows to Federation-style homes. Homes in the area represent old classics combined with a modern twist, adding even more versatility to the suburb.

Other suburbs that topped the most-searched list include Nedlands, Peppermint Grove, Bull Creek, and Carine. The list is indicative of increased buyer interest which could see strong growth in the coming years.
