Best of All Lookout  

Why not get started with panoramic views over Springbrook’s volcanic crater? Once you park up your van, you’re just a short walk away from a constructed viewing point, perfectly designed to capture the area’s natural beauty in all its glory.  Trek the track through the ancient forest and get closer to nature. The Settlement Camping area is just a short drive from Springbrook National Park and accepts camper trailer camping, but be sure to book ahead as permits are required. 

The Falls: Curtis & Witches  

You’ll find both on Tamborine Mountain, just a scenic hike away. If you’re looking for a more challenging walk, the Witches Fall trail is approximately 3.6 km, while Curtis Falls is an easy 1.4 km. Whether you’re birdwatching or looking for a stunning waterfall view, the Falls will unite you with nature, and there are even some local cafes to enjoy once you’re done. Camping isn’t permitted on the Mountain, but Thunderbird Park Camping & Adventure is ideal for caravans and trailers and is located nearby and is ideal for families. 

The Falls: Moran’s & Elabana  

These falls are located in Lamington National Park, which is home to O’Reilly’s Campground and features 21 camper van sites, some of which are powered. With easy access to World Heritage-listed walking trails and a communal kitchen and fire pit, it’s a great jumping-off point to explore the wider area. Pack your binoculars because you’re sure to see local wildlife, with bush-turkeys and bobucks often spotted in the picnic areas. 

If you’re looking for a quiet place to cool off, explore Currumbin Valley Rock Pools, located just 15 minutes from Currumbin Beach. The scenic drive alone is worth the trek, but the Rock Pools also have barbecue facilities and toilets to make a day of it.
