Boca Raton, FL-- For celebrities, philanthropy offers a chance to give back to society by opening their hearts and wallets. But who are some of the nation's most charitable stars and what are their favorite causes? WIOD radio personality Keith Singer's new radio segment "Making a Difference," offers high profile guests who are giving back to their communities an open mic to discuss their philanthropy and charitable involvement. Last month Joan Rivers discussed her favorite charity; God's Love We Deliver.

Joining Keith Saturday August 23, 2014 at 5:48 pm EST on 610 WIOD,  is Philanthropist Anthony Shriver, who will share how he founded the charity Best Buddies International.  Mr. Shriver created Best Buddies in 1989 to foster one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual disabilities.  "We're very honored to have Mr. Shriver as our guest, said Singer. "We're looking forward to hearing the details of his philanthropic work and having him share with our audience how Best Buddies is making a difference." 

The "Making a Difference," segment broadcasts on Clear Channel affiliate 610 WIOD, one of the largest radio stations in South Florida - reaching a significant affluent audience in the tri-county area. "Our goal is to raise awareness about some great organizations and encourage even more philanthropy among celebrities," Singer said.
