Actress MELISSA JOBE Kicks Butt in New Comedy Spoof Film “REAL HEROES” -- Official Screening + Panel at Stan Lee’s COMIKAZE on November 2, 2014

LOS ANGELES (October 28, 2014) – Actress MELISSA JOBE is kicking butt as a superhero Mom in the new indie comedy feature film REAL HEROES, where comic book characters meet reality TV. Set to screen at Stan Lee’s COMIKAZE on November 2^nd, Jobe will join the film’s director Keith Hartman (“You Should Meet My Son”) and fellow cast mates for a panel immediately following the screening.

REAL HEROES follows a group of B-string superheroes who go on a reality show in hopes of hitting the big time. From the auditions to the living arrangements, this band of unlikely supernatural crime fighters must learn to come together in order to defeat the fiendish supervillains working to rip them apart. Jobe joins the team as the cat-suited, single mom crusader Sable, a martial arts expert obsessed with catching the bad guys at any cost, including a ‘normal’ relationship with her daughter.

Jobe is thrilled to be part of this parody film, adding “REAL HEROES was magical experience from the audition all the way through filming. It was a dream cast and crew– one of those times where the stars are aligned perfectly, and you wish the project didn’t have to end.”

A sweet southern belle with a brassy sense of humor, Jobe has been building a solid reputation on the indie scene. Most notably, her credits include the comedy web series “Bloomers,” the 2012 Cannes Short Corner selection “Pink & Green,” and the upcoming “Cowboy’s Girl” with Tony Todd. A Lake Charles, Louisiana native, Jobe first began dancing and performing at an early age which led the way to acting. After earning her BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration from LSU, she moved to Dallas, Texas where she began a career in regional musical theater and local indie films. Eventually, she made her way to Los Angeles where she continues to thrive on the indie scene and beyond.
