Ness Sees Digital Economy Driving European Growth

Expanded Slovakian Technology Innovation Centre Helps Clients Accelerate Digital Product and Service Capabilities

 

London, UK – 25th September 2014 – Ness Software Engineering Services (SES), a global product engineering services and solutions provider, today announced growth in its global development centres with the expansion of its Central European operations. A new, larger software development laboratory in Kosice, Slovakia, enables Ness SES to handle rapid growth in demand from clients for building advanced digital product and service platforms globally.

In this age of technical innovation, Ness SES finds that organisations are feeling increasing pressure to integrate technology much more deeply and widely than ever before into their core operations to streamline processes, to increase and diversify revenues, or to win new customers.

These are designed to accelerate the design, delivery and ongoing development of digital products and services such as: personalised consumer and business apps, digital ticketing systems, and firmware for Internet of Things (IOT) devices and applications.

With over a decade of tenure in Kosice, Ness SES is the largest software engineering services employer in the city. The new centre accommodates over 300 engineers working on projects for a wide range of clients including: financial services, travel, automotive, transportation, location-based services, media and entertainment. There is improved working facilities as well as the flexibility and capacity for Ness SES to further grow its local workforce of software engineers and architects.

Ness SES is growing in Kosice, Slovakia, because of excellent local infrastructure for running a high-end software engineering business in addition to having access to highly motivated and skilled software engineering talent. Kosice is Slovakia’s second largest city after the capital Bratislava and has three universities including the Technical University of Kosice. Slovakia’s membership in the EU also provides critical economic and political stability for siting a key part of the company’s global development facilities.

The Ness SES Kosice development centre is part of a global network of development centres that enable Ness SES to combine a global delivery model with local management and shared control.
