Petrotechnics To Share Offshore Operations Best Practices For Changing The Safety-Productivity Dynamic At Annual HSE Excellence Forum

  • Written by Tom Snee
Petrotechnics, the leading provider of operational performance and predictive risk management solutions, announced it has been selected to present best practices for offshore operators to manage operational risk and change the safety-productivity dynamic at the annual HSE Excellence for Offshore Operations Forum, in Houston, September 24, 2014.

The HSE Excellence for Offshore Operations Forum is focused on adopting standards of excellence to ensure continuous improvement in safety and offshore operational integrity, including best practices and latest developments for better safety culture and more robust management systems. Petrotechnics was selected share expertise at this year’s Forum on how organizations can evolve to a more effective way of working that reduces operational risk and improves production efficiency. Changing the way the safety-productivity dynamic is managed is key to reinventing the HSE DNA. Safety and productivity no longer need to be seen as mutually exclusive. An evolutionary advancement of how people, business process and technology are integrated across operations can harness safety and productivity as complimentary forces and unlock a tangible and practical path to operational excellence.

“Petrotechnics is a strategic partner of this year’s HSE Excellence for Offshore Operations Forum,” explains Conference Producer, Gabriela Pantoja. “As the oil and gas industry’s trusted provider of operational performance and risk management solutions, Petrotechnics was selected to share expertise on how offshore companies can change the safety-productivity dynamic for their business at this year’s 2014 HSE Excellence for Offshore Operations Forum.”

“At Petrotechnics, we believe that reducing operational risk and improving productivity are essential goals for hazardous industries around the world,” said Mike Neill, President of Petrotechnics North America. “For oil and gas offshore operators, achieving a common view of risk can help connect deviations from standards and regulations, such as SEMS II, with the physical reality of day-to-day operations. This provides operators with the visibility they need to optimize operations and fundamentally change the safety-productivity dynamic offshore.”

Petrotechnics is relied upon by over 85% of offshore operators in the North Sea and 40% in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico for delivering solutions that improve frontline operational performance. Petrotechnics’ enterprise ready solution, Proscient, allows organizations to collectively understand the impact of risk on operations, including deviations from regulations management systems, like SEMS II, so they can make the right decisions to improve operational performance and keep people safe.
